The Devotional
Orange is the condition of preparation. It means a specific spiritual threat has been identified — not a vague worry, but a real battle in front of you. The response isn't panic, and it isn't pretending the threat isn't there. It's facing it with wisdom, prayer, and confidence in God's faithfulness.
This Daily Transmission walks through David's response to Goliath in 1 Samuel 17. When the entire army of Israel shrank back, David stepped forward. Before he ever faced the giant, he remembered: God delivered him from a lion and a bear. The God who had been faithful before could be trusted to be faithful again.
That's the heart of Code Orange. Remember what God has done for you in the past, and let it fuel confidence in the present battle. Preparation isn't just girding up — it's recalling God's track record, asking Him for wisdom (James 1:5), and putting on the strength He provides (Ephesians 6:10).
The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the LORD (Proverbs 21:31). Prepare like it depends on you — then trust like it depends on Him. With the LORD as your light and salvation, whom shall you fear? (Psalm 27:1)
